Brittany 2012 : Brittany 12_03 : Quartz Vein

I moved carefully along the base of the cliff below the path. Lots of slippery rocks and transparent pools to fall into. There is a lot of granite and basalt in Brittany. Here, the cliff is sandstone - a fossilized sand dune from some antediluvian sea shore. The vein of quartz caught my eye. My mind marvelled at the titanic forces that produced it.
