Brittany 2012 : Brittany 12_03 : Dernier Grémont

At the beginning of the XXth century, the sardine fishery of Etel was replaced by tuna fishing. This is the carcass of the last wooden sailing tuna boat. Those boats were called "grémont". Etel built a huge ice-making factory, producing 120 tons of ice per day, to accomodate the catch. The tuna fishery collapsed in 1956 but the factory still turns out 60 tons of ice per day.
