This is is a forban, folks. What a lucky day to pass one of these rare ships. The forban was a type of ship, 13 meters long. It had no deck, two masts and a keel rudder. It was used exclusively by the sailors of Le Bono, up on the Auray River, until 1914.

You can see these boats in many old paintings. Two masts with gaff rigged sails. Cool. I bet they are fast.
