Brittany 2012 : Brittany 12_08 : Breton Ibis

All the herons decided to leave so this Breton Ibis had the tree to himself. The Ibis have integrated well in Brittany and several other areas in Europe. Some see them as an invasive species that must be removed. Some fishermen fear that, if their population grows, the inshore fishery might be negatively impacted. After 20 years, the Ibis population has stabilized, leading some to say that they will have no more impact than the herons. Time will tell.
