Brittany 2012 : Brittany 12_09 : Primeval Gorge

The gorge below the rock chaos seems rather primeval to my eyes. I half expected a Triceratops to wander into the image and feed on the giant ferns below. Further along the lower trail, one finds Le Camp d'Artus, Arthur's Camp, a promontory hillfort based on a Gaulish oppidum, with a linear murus gallicus rampart. It was used as refuge by the Osisme Gauls against the Roman invasion in 57 BC and later acquired a nickname referring to Arthurian legend. This, too, was a spot that I had yet to visit. Darn it all.
