Recently (March 2007), I went on a walking tour of the city of Hull, PQ. The walkabout was spread over three days. Come with me and see Hull as I did (...)
My eye wanders when I'm on photo walkabout and found these mailboxes beside a vacant lot. The numbers intrigued me as much as their odd location. What (...)
Colour as much as shape dictates whether my eye will stick to a scene. There was enough colour in this mural on an old garage siding. It's not Art but (...)
Some scenes are inadvertently photogenic, like this store front window. Well, I tried to make it interesting.
This is a classic structure on St. Joseph blvd. I've always liked the look of it but it is on a busy stretch of the road. Makes it hard to get a clean (...)
I left St. Joseph blvd and explored the back streets around this main thoroughfare. I came across this homeless man pushing his life towards the homel (...)
Here is another local architectural icon. I liked the mystery of that woman taking a smoke break. What stories she must know from her customers inside (...)

The sunset had started to go wishy-washy on me rather than morph into splendid colours. So I did the next best thing, throw an interesting object in t (...)
Some of the backyards of old Hull are more interesting than the front. However, one risks getting yelled at for trespassing, as I found out in a hurry (...)
There is some new development along Montcalm street but it is nothing to write home about. I tried to make the best of it with this shot.
I was surprised to find this neat artwork underneath the Montcalm bridge. There is lots of graffitti there but I liked this one the best.
The buildings of old Hull have character. However, I do miss my old selection of 35 mm lens. With them I could buildings justice but it's hard with th (...)
Time to get off main street and into old Hull. This street is typical of this area.
Don't ask me why I took this shot. I just liked the look of it and wondered if the camera would capture it in the low light.
Sometimes, the view is not what is in front of you but what is behind you as shown by these reflections.
