Old Gray here belongs to another tennant but wants me to adopt him. He wants to come along to where the ducks and Chickadees are, he does. This is his (...)
It was warming up quite quickly causing water and ice to tangle in odd ways. This scene suggested the shape of a Manta Ray. Nature doesn't throw away (...)
This February thaw caused water levels to drop leaving the surface ice high and dry. I got there just before it disappeared.
Sorry, Old Gray, got to go check a new creek that I spotted from the bus. A look at the map shows that this is Watts Creek. It drains through the Eque (...)
More odd ice escapades along the edges of Watts Creek.
The creek continued to flow hither and thither, from open field to forest deep. This is a transition point between ice and water.
This is the result when air gets trapped in ice. It should have known better than to get into a threesome with water and ice.
Watts Creek was more open in the forest than in the cold fields upstream.

It didn't take the Sun long to do some serious setting. The woman was still walking the cold ice but her dog had already high-tailed it home.
Poof! Just like that ... the Sun was gone. So am I. Until next time. Thanx for dropping by.
The big chill hit early in November so I went out to see what I could see. Windago is a cruel god and those who weaken often pay a heavy price. This g (...)
The cold brought overcast skies and brought these gulls together on Britannia beach.
The first year gulls were having a squawk of fun on the newly discovered ice. They had never walked on water before and who was that upside down gull (...)
I left the beach for the trails around Mud Lake to see the changes brought about by the sudden freeze. I found this squirrel huddled on a familiar stu (...)
The sudden freeze had caused ice to form in the strangest ways. I had never seen ice form vertically upwards from a surface like it does here on this (...)
I must admit I was attracted by the colour and the way the sunlight was illuminating this old shroom. The ribs reminded me of the alien ship in the mo (...)
